SUSTAINABILITY AT COCOVERO

We attach great importance to transparency and sustainability, which is why we source all our materials from the EU and also produce within the EU. This allows us to keep our transport routes as short as possible and to personally check the working conditions at our local production facilities. All our suppliers and manufacturers are personally hand-picked by us and therefore fulfill our high quality standards, which CocoVero stands for as a brand. For our future collections, we are also always on the lookout for certified yarns, fabrics and buttons that meet our high CocoVero standards in terms of quality and appearance.

n the following, we would like to explain to you transparently which materials we use and which suppliers and production facilities from which countries we work with to manufacture our traditional costumes and fashion:

Fabric production for dirndls and aprons

Year founded: 1865
Number of employees: 42
Location: Austria
Certifications: ‘Made in Austria’, ‘Öko Text 100’

Our producer makes a major contribution in terms of social responsibility. All of their articles are ‘MADE IN AUSTRIA’ and ‘ÖKO TEX 100’ certified. The fabrics are produced in a climate-friendly manner directly at the site, and the weaving mill and finishing facilities are also located in the immediate vicinity. Through resource-saving production, CO2 compensation and short transport routes, we are making a joint contribution to climate protection.

Fabric production for dirndls and brocade

Year founded: 1836
Number of employees: 30
Location: Austria

A family-run fabric manufacturer with a long history - the company was founded in 1836 and specializes in high-quality jacquard brocades. Thanks to continuous further development and the use of the latest technologies, even centuries-old patterns can be reconstructed and interpreted in a contemporary way. A combination of tradition and modernity, which is exactly what our CocoVero brand values represent. To protect the environment, our CocoVero fabrics are also produced exclusively in Vienna using state-of-the-art weaving machines.

Production for knitwear women & men

Year of foundation: 1989
Number of employees: 130
Location: Bulgaria
Certifications: GOTS, BSCI

This manufactory produces our beautiful knitwear for men and women with great passion. Like CocoVero, the company is run by women. With the highest GOTS and BSCI standard, our producer fulfills the high requirements along the production chain and social regulations.

Production for ladies blouses

Year of foundation: 1998
Number of employees: 60 people
Location: Ruse, Bulgaria

Our production facility in Bulgaria has specialized in the manufacture of men's and women's clothing for over 20 years. All the women's blouses in our fashion and traditional costume collection come from this women-run factory. The majority of the employees are women, with one fifth of them being over 50 years old..

Together with our blouse fabric supplier, we have come up with a particularly sustainable solution. The yarns used here are so-called ‘pre-consumer yarns’, i.e. they are yarns that have not yet been incorporated into any product. The waste generated in the normal production process is reprocessed and turned into yarn. This enables completely waste-free production of the fabric. This has resulted in our first sustainable blouse, Leni Sustainable.
